2 x JABS = NO QUARANTINE

The UK government has announced that from 4am on 19th July, people who have been fully vaccinated with an NHS administered vaccine can travel to amber list countries, including Spain, without having to quarantine on their return to England.

  • Arrivals who have been fully vaccinated with an NHS administered vaccine in the UK (plus 14 days), returning to England from amber list countries, will no longer need to quarantine – passengers will need to provide proof of their vaccination status to carriers in advance of travel

  • Pre-departure testing and day 2 testing measures to remain

  • Children under the age of 18 will be exempt from quarantine on returning to England from amber countries

  • The recommendation for people to not travel to amber countries will also be removed from 19 July.

  • All passengers will still need to complete their passenger locator form, which will include the requirement to declare vaccination status and provide proof of their pre-departure test.

This is great news for those of you who have friends and family coming to visit you in Spain from England . However, please be aware that this only applies to people who have been fully vaccinated with an NHS-administered vaccine.

For those of us that live in Spain and have been vaccinated here, if we travel to England we must continue to follow the requirements for those travelling from amber list countries, which is that you must quarantine in the place you’re staying and take 2 COVID-19 tests.
